A visit is the record of one stop: when you arrived, what you added, photos, anything broken, and notes. When you complete it, the customer gets a receipt. The first one takes a few minutes. After that it goes faster.
Before you start
- The customer is in PoolStamp. Add them from the Customers tab, or import your list first. See Import customers.
- You're signed in on your phone. Visits are logged in the mobile app, not the web admin. See Download the mobile app.
- The customer has an email address on file if you want the receipt emailed automatically.
1. Start the visit
Open the customer from the Customers tab and tap Start Visit. If you've planned today's route, you can also tap Start Visit on the stop in the Route tab.
The first time you start a visit, your phone asks whether PoolStamp can use your location. Allow it while using the app: PoolStamp records where you checked in as proof of service. If you don't allow it, the visit still works, but the receipt has no GPS location.
If the customer has a saved location and you check in more than 250 meters away, the app warns you so you can confirm you're at the right house.
2. Record what you did
Everything on the visit screen is optional. Fill in what applies:
- Chemicals. Log what you added, with the amount and unit. See Chemical readings.
- Photos. Tap Take Photo or Choose from Library. The first time you take a photo, your phone asks for camera access. You can attach up to 5 photos per visit.
- Repairs. Under Anything broken?, tap an item to log it, or describe another issue and tap Add Repair.
- Visit notes. The customer sees these on the receipt.
3. Complete the visit
Tap Complete Visit, then confirm. PoolStamp:
- records your check-out time, plus a second GPS point if location is allowed
- emails the receipt to the customer if they have an email address on file
- marks the stop done if it's on today's route
If you have no signal, the completion is queued and sent when your phone reconnects. The receipt goes out after that.
