GPS check-in

Best-effort GPS capture and wrong-property warning during check-in.

When a tech starts a visit, the app captures the device's GPS location if foreground location permission is granted. If the customer has saved coordinates, the app compares the check-in point to the customer location and warns the tech when the distance looks wrong.

Warning threshold

PoolStamp warns the tech when check-in is more than 250 meters from the customer's saved coordinates. Missing GPS permission or missing customer coordinates means no proximity warning is shown.

Common causes

Turning it off

There is no customer-level GPS toggle. If the device does not grant location permission, PoolStamp still lets the visit proceed without coordinates.

Data retention

Check-in and check-out coordinates may be stored with the visit when permission is granted. PoolStamp does not track the tech between stops or record background location. There is no route breadcrumb.
