If you're coming from another field service tool — or even a spreadsheet — you can bulk-import your customers into PoolStamp in about five minutes. PoolStamp recognizes the common column names from the major tools and asks you to map anything ambiguous.
What to export from your current tool
You need a CSV with at minimum:
- A customer name column
- A service address column
Everything else (email, phone, billing address, pool size, service frequency, notes) is optional but useful.
Most tools have a built-in "Export customers to CSV" function. If yours doesn't, copy and paste from a spreadsheet view.
Uploading the CSV
In the web admin, go to Customers → Import. Drag the CSV onto the drop zone (or click to choose a file). You'll see the first row of your file mapped against PoolStamp's fields.
PoolStamp recognizes column names from Jobber, Housecall Pro, GorillaDesk, ServiceTitan, and a handful of smaller tools out of the box. If a column name is unclear, it shows up as needs mapping and you pick the right destination from a dropdown.
Handling errors
If a row has a problem — a missing required field, a malformed email, a duplicate of an existing customer — the importer collects it into an Errors tab at the top of the preview. You can:
- Fix the row directly in the preview and re-validate.
- Skip the row and continue.
- Cancel the import entirely.
Nothing is written to your customer list until you click Confirm import on the last screen.
Migrating from a competitor
For larger imports — more than a few hundred customers, or files that include visit history or photos — reply to your welcome email and we'll do a hands-on migration with you. We've imported from Jobber, Housecall Pro, and GorillaDesk before and can usually map the full history, not just the customer list.
