The visit completion flow is the most important UX in PoolStamp. Tech opens the app at the pool, completes the visit, drives to the next one. The customer gets a receipt automatically.
Step 1 — Check in
From the route view, tap the next customer. The app opens the visit screen and records the check-in time. If location permission was granted at install, it also captures GPS coordinates for proof-of-service.
Step 2 — Chemical readings
Tap Chemicals to log what you added. PoolStamp ships with the seven most common chemicals as one-tap presets (Liquid Chlorine, Chlorine Tabs, Muriatic Acid, Soda Ash, Baking Soda, Stabilizer, Salt) plus a free-text option for anything custom.
Each chemical has an amount field and a unit (gallons, pounds, tabs). Tap save.
Step 3 — Photos
Tap Photos to capture the visit's proof shots. The app compresses on-device to under 800KB before upload, so it works on weak cellular and doesn't blow up your data plan. Take as many as you want; we recommend at least one wide shot of the pool and one of the equipment pad.
Step 4 — Repair items (optional)
If anything's broken or needs follow-up, tap Repairs and add a line item. Set status to:
- Noted — you mentioned it to the customer
- Quote needed — you'll send a price later
- Fixed on site — already handled this visit
- Scheduled — already on the books for follow-up
Step 5 — Notes (optional)
Free-text notes that the customer will see on the receipt. Use it for "added 2 lbs salt", "skimmer basket replaced", "customer requested I shut off heater for the season".
Step 6 — Complete
Tap Complete visit. The app:
- Records the check-out time and second GPS coordinate
- Triggers the receipt email to the customer
- Updates the route view to mark this stop done
- Returns you to the route list, focused on the next stop
The receipt usually arrives in the customer's inbox within ten seconds.
