Pay-now links on receipts

How customers pay you online — from the visit receipt.

Pay-now links on receipts

When online payments are turned on and the visit has a price, the receipt email includes a Pay now button that takes the customer to a secure checkout page. They pay by card and the receipt updates to Paid in your dashboard.

How customers see it

In the receipt email:

Pay this visit — $87.50 Secure payment powered by Stripe.

The button opens a hosted checkout page. The customer enters a card and pays. PoolStamp marks the visit as Paid within seconds.

When the Pay-now button appears

All three must be true:

If any condition fails the receipt is still sent — just without the button.

Accepted payment methods

The hosted checkout accepts major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover) at launch. ACH transfer, Apple Pay, and Google Pay are on the post-launch roadmap and will appear in the same checkout once enabled.

Per-visit vs per-invoice

Many pilot operators use per-visit for one-off jobs and per-invoice for monthly maintenance customers.

Fees

Card processing fees follow Stripe's published rates (2.9% + 30¢ for typical US cards). PoolStamp does not take a separate cut of customer payments at launch.

Refunds

See the refund article. Short version: use the PoolStamp admin if the refund action is available for your account, or refund directly from your connected Stripe dashboard. Support can help if you do not see the action yet.

Disputes / chargebacks

If a customer disputes a charge with their bank, the dispute is handled through your connected Stripe account. PoolStamp keeps the visit proof artifacts (photos, GPS check-in, chemical log) easy to find when you respond.
