Connect your Stripe account
To accept card payments from customers, you connect your own Stripe account to PoolStamp. PoolStamp uses Stripe Connect so charges flow directly through your account — PoolStamp never holds your revenue.
What you need
- A PoolStamp operator account
- A US bank account (Stripe collects this during onboarding)
- About 5 minutes for the Stripe Express setup flow
How to connect
- Sign in to app.poolstamp.com.
- Go to Integrations in the left sidebar.
- Click Connect Stripe.
- Stripe opens a hosted onboarding page — enter your business details and bank information there.
- When Stripe confirms your account, you are returned to PoolStamp and the Integrations page shows Connected.
That is all. Once connected, PoolStamp drops a Pay now button on visit receipts, and customer payments deposit into your Stripe account on Stripe's standard payout schedule.
When the Pay-now button appears
The Pay-now button is added to the visit receipt only when all three are true:
- Your Stripe account is connected and active.
- The customer (or the visit) has a price set.
- The Stripe service is reachable.
If the price is missing, the receipt is still sent — just without the button.
Where the money goes
Payments go directly to your connected Stripe account. PoolStamp does not collect or hold funds. Stripe's standard payout schedule (typically 2 business days for US accounts) applies.
Fees
Card processing fees follow Stripe's published rates (2.9% + 30¢ for typical US cards). PoolStamp does not take a separate cut of customer payments.
Disputes and chargebacks
If a customer disputes a charge with their bank, PoolStamp surfaces the dispute on the visit so your evidence (photos, GPS check-in, chemical log) is one tap away when you respond.
Refunds
Refunds are initiated from the PoolStamp admin or directly from your Stripe dashboard. See the separate refund article for step-by-step instructions.
Disconnecting Stripe
To disconnect, go to Integrations and click Disconnect. Existing completed payments are not affected. The Pay-now button stops appearing on new receipts immediately.
