Customer language preference (EN/ES)
PoolStamp is built bilingual end-to-end. Set a customer's Language to Español and every single thing they see from your business comes through in Spanish — receipts, SMS, the portal, even error messages.
Where to set it
- Web: Customer detail page → Language → English or Español
- Mobile: Customer detail → Edit → Language
The default is English. There's no third option today — Phase 2 will add more.
What changes when a customer is set to Spanish
Every customer-facing surface uses the Spanish dictionary:
- Email receipts — subject line, greeting, section headers, repair status labels, "Pay now" CTA, footer
- SMS notifications — greeting, body, "Details" link
- Customer portal (the page they land on when they tap a receipt link) — every label, every error, every empty-state message, dates in es-MX format
- Trial / welcome / password reset emails — Spanish path triggered by Accept-Language at signup
What stays in the tech's language
- The tech app stays in whatever language you (the tech) prefer. A Spanish-speaking tech serving an English-speaking customer sees the app in Spanish but sends English receipts
- Notes and free-text fields you type aren't translated — what you type is what gets sent
Mixing in the same business
You can absolutely have some customers set to English and others to Spanish in the same account. Each receipt is rendered in the customer's language at send time — no setting affects the whole business.
What to do if a customer asks to switch
Edit their Language field. Next receipt is in the new language. Past receipts stay in whatever they were originally sent in.
