The PoolStamp mobile app supports biometric unlock on devices that expose Face ID, fingerprint, iris, or a generic biometric method through the operating system.
Turning it on
Open the app, sign in with your email and password once, then go to Settings → Biometric login and toggle it on. The device asks you to confirm before PoolStamp enables it.
What it protects
When biometric login is enabled, PoolStamp restores your saved session into a locked state and asks for biometric unlock before showing the app.
What it does not replace
- Server sign-in: your app still holds a session token that authenticates to PoolStamp's servers. Biometric unlock only gates access to the local app — the token itself is stored in iOS Keychain or Android Keystore-backed secure storage.
- Password: your PoolStamp password is still valid on the web admin and any other device. Biometric only replaces the daily password type-in on the mobile app.
Fallback to passcode
If biometrics fail, tap Sign in with password and sign in normally.
What happens if I lose the phone
The token stored in secure storage is tied to that device. To be safe, sign out remotely from the web admin at Settings → Security → Active sessions → Revoke all the moment you notice the loss.
Turning it off
Same place — Settings → Biometric login, toggle off. The next app launch will ask for your email + password.
