Biometric login (Face ID / Touch ID)

Enable Face ID or Touch ID so you sign in without typing a password.

The PoolStamp mobile app supports iOS biometric sign-in — Face ID on Face ID-capable devices, Touch ID on the rest. This means one glance or one thumb press to unlock the app.

Turning it on

Open the app, sign in with your email and password once, then go to Settings → Security → Biometric sign-in and toggle it on. iOS prompts for permission the first time; approve it.

What it protects

Biometric unlock protects the app after it's been backgrounded for more than 5 minutes, and always after a device restart. Chemical logs, customer info, and photos require re-auth before they're visible.

What it does not replace

Fallback to passcode

If biometrics fail (dirty finger, mask on face), iOS prompts for your device passcode. That succeeds too — biometric is a shortcut, not a lockout.

What happens if I lose the phone

The token stored in the Keychain is inaccessible without your Face ID / Touch ID / passcode. A new device with a new user won't be able to reuse it. To be safe, sign out remotely from the web admin at Settings → Security → Active sessions → Revoke all the moment you notice the loss.

Turning it off

Same place — Settings → Security → Biometric sign-in, toggle off. The next app launch will ask for your email + password.
