PoolStamp orgs have three roles. Understanding them is a two-minute read that prevents most future confusion.
OWNER
- One per org. This is the operator that created the org or was transferred ownership.
- Full access to billing, plan changes, and dangerous account actions (delete org, export all data, transfer ownership).
- Can promote or demote any ADMIN or TECH.
- Cannot be removed from the org — the OWNER must transfer ownership to another operator before leaving.
ADMIN
- Anywhere from zero to many per org.
- Full access to customers, routes, visits, receipts, and reports.
- Can invite new TECH-role operators. Cannot invite ADMIN-role operators; only the OWNER can.
- Cannot see or modify billing, plan changes, or the danger-zone settings.
- Cannot remove the OWNER; can remove other ADMINs and TECHs.
TECH
- The default role for anyone invited from the mobile app.
- Full access to their own routes, visits, and receipts.
- Can see customers and add new ones.
- Cannot invite anyone, cannot see billing, cannot see the admin audit log.
Changing a role
From the web admin, go to Team → Members, tap the ⋮ menu next to a person, and pick Change role. Only the OWNER can promote anyone to ADMIN. Role changes take effect on the operator's next sign-in.
Transferring ownership
Settings → Danger zone → Transfer ownership. Pick an existing ADMIN to become the new OWNER. Your role drops to ADMIN immediately. This is one-way; a new OWNER must transfer back if you change your mind.
Audit trail
Every role change is written to the admin audit log with actor, target, old role, and new role. Team → Audit log shows the last 90 days.
